Blast Furnace Coke
Blast furnace Coke is a type of coke used in the production of iron in a blast furnace. It is created by heating coal at high temperatures in the absence of air to drive off volatile components and leave behind a carbon-rich material.
Blast furnaces are used to produce pig iron from iron ore for subsequent processing into steel, and they are also employed in processing lead, copper, and other metals. Rapid combustion is maintained by the current of air under pressure.
